Celebrating Service: April is National Volunteer Month
Meet Margaret (on the left). She's 82-years-young and has volunteered at our Broken Arrow Adult Day Services site since November 2005. She's put in over 3,000 hours and is still going strong! When asked about her volunteerism, she said, "I feel like I can't do enough for the people here, they give to me so much more than I give to them. I feel like I should return favors given to me over the years by volunteering my time." Margaret helps the participants by reading to them, leading word games and just by sitting and visiting with them. Margaret has a welcoming, warm personality and a smile for everyone! Thank you for all you do, Margaret!
Exciting New Activities at LIFE's Senior Centers: Special Offer Coming Soon!
Thanks to a grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, we have added new fitness, social and creative activities at both of our senior centers. Have you ever wanted to give one of our centers a try? Stay tuned! We have a special offer coming in May.
