Vintage Guide to
Housing & Services
The 2011-12 edition of LIFE's Vintage Guide to Housing & Services is now available. This free annual publication is northeastern Oklahoma's most comprehensive guide to senior resources, and is a valuable tool for older adults and family caregivers, as well as health care providers, social workers, aging services professionals, and anyone who works with older adults.
The new edition includes a comprehensive directory of nearly 240 senior living options, including multi-level communities, independent apartmetns, assisted living, residential care and nursing facilities. The book also lists and compares more than 80 home health agencies, 28 hospices and 10 adult day centers.
In addition, LIFE's Vintage Guide organizes more than 700 community-based resources by categories. Many seniors find that by tapping into community-based services, they are able to continue living safely at home longer - often delaying or avoiding altogether the need for residential care.
LIFE Senior Services first began publishing the Vintage Guide 28 years ago as a mere 16-page booklet. Since then, the number and types of services for seniors has exploded and the publication has grown with the times to 236 pages.
