LIFE Advocacy for SeniorsAdvocating for Community Supports and Services for Older Adults
The secret to aging well is having the systems in place as you need them. Day, home and community services go a long way to reduce the state's financial burden of caregiving as well as helping seniors continue to live in their homes.

Last year more than 300 concerned citizens traveled to the capitol to show our legislators how important these services are to them. Thse services include: Adult Day Services, Case Management, Transportation, Meals and Nutrition, In-Home Care, Caregiver Support, Housekeeping, Personal Care, Daily Activity Assistance, and Job Training and Placement.

We invite you to join us for a Day at the Capitol in Oklahoma City in April to support the services that help keep older adults at home. Look for more information closer to the event, or sign up as an advocate so we can invite you to join us.

Aging Professionals Can Join Our Behavioral Health Subcommittee on Aging and Aging and Mental Health Review Team
LIFE Senior Services serves as a facilitator of the Behavioral Health Subcommittee on Aging as part of its collaboration with community partners. The purpose is to understand the delivery systems, identify systems' strengths and gaps and promote development of needed resources and community solutions. The group established the Aging and Mental Health Review Team. This multi-disciplinary, community-based review team is available for confidential staffing of complex cases involving older adults to provide interdisciplinary solution-finding. To find out more about these groups, call or email Mary Hardy, Behavioral Health Consultant (918) 664-9000, ext. 288 or mhardy@LIFEseniorservices.org. For a list of area providers, click here.
