During 2008, more than 25,000 seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families and caregivers will turn to LIFE Senior Services for the information, education, and services they need to maintain their independence, quality of life, and dignity. In addition, hundreds of aging, health, and social services professionals will rely on LIFE for assistance with their older or disabled clients, through the variety of programs and services LIFE offers seniors and caregivers.
LIFE coordinates with dozens of aging, health, and social service government and non-profit organizations to fulfill its mission and meet the needs of the seniors and caregivers. Through SeniorLine, thousands of referrals are made to organizations for needed services. Case managers work closely with in-home and community-based services to help individuals remain in their homes. The Medicare Prescription Assistance Coalition involves two dozen organizations in northeastern Oklahoma serving 17 counties. The Vintage Guide to Housing and Services provides detailed information about 236 housing options and more than 700 services in 55 categories. The Vulnerable Adult Task Force collaborates with the District Attorney's office, DHS, law enforcement (Tulsa Police Department and Tulsa Sheriff's Office), and community agencies.
LIFE Senior Services mission is to promote independence, quality of life and dignity for seniors and caregivers through adult day services, case management, SeniorLine information and referral, caregiver support services, senior centers and affordable housing.” LIFE Senior Services is a Tulsa Area United Way member agency.
